1974 (Mum 46/ Me 19) Wednesday
Mum –  Met Betty for coffee bought Rec token at Smiths, home for dinner and then back to have my hair washed.  Took my dress back as it needs repairing.
Me – Picked van up not a trace marvellous.  Got ? fixed.  Had dinner at club with Dad.  Mum had her hair done in afternoon.  I worked 2 – 10 with Ken.  Got to be up early.

1969 (Mum 41/ Me 14) Thursday
Cream releases their last album "Goodbye"
Mum – Social Study 30, Education for the Blind by Commander Ellis
Me – In morn had  COG test not bad ¾.  For art made toby jug bust then made a pot.  After dinner had Latin, French & English.  Mum got me a record by the Move [Blackberry Way I expect].  In evening watched tele.  Mum & Sally went to Guild.

Mum – Papers 25/10d
            Nappies 8/9d
            Baker     2/4d
            Sweets  4/2d

Mum
1965 (38), 1969 (42) and 1974 (47) T&G – Townswomen’s Guild.
Preface gives Objects, Structure of the Guild and hints from NUTG advisors on starting up Drama, Music, Social Studies and Arts and Crafts Groups
During the above years mum was looking after myself, my sister 8 years younger and brother 13

1965 (10) Letts School-Boys Diary
Still at Infant/Primary School. Diary quite comprehensive giving facts on First Aid, Atomic Energy, 34 question quiz, books to read (none of which I’ve ever read), Pets, Countries of the World, Duke of Edinburgh Award, Animal Facts, Finding your way by the Sun, in fact a whole mini-book in itself.

1969 (14) Dataday Diary Gives Mileage Chart, Sun & Moon settings and phases, Wine vintage chart, clothing sizes, conversion tables and car details
