– Went to Wyn Hicks for the evening Margaret bought me home.
Me
– Got up at 8.45 took trs back to Gemini to get lengthened. Went to Stockbridge to get 1800 [Austin] with
dad. Killed pheasant on the way back. Worked late shift 2 – 10.00. Card reader jammed, tired. [our computer room had chain printers, card
reader, where you stacked in about 12 -18 inches of program cards at a time, floor
standing tapes and disk drives etc, at this time it would have probably been
the IBM 360 mainframe]

– New Year Party. Went to St.Michaels
Hall with Sally

– In morn got to school at 8.30. Had
French revision. Micky [Mason - teacher]
wasn’t here for P.T so had Luther did Basketball. Ernie [psycho Maths teacher] gave us a test
and wasn’t very pleased. At dinner SALLY came.
In afternoon had bilg and English which we looked at some books in the
commemoration room. Mum went to W.W lost
2 ¾ she is now 10st 11lbs. Bugs got
some new gloves.

– Got MkII weather Station. Had man with
trumpet he played some tunes.
