1st January

Diaries across the generations from 1965, 1969 and 1974

2012 (Me 56) Sunday
Have got to start the year with Rained Heavily Today!
Got up late after seeing in new year with RB Hay, Dave & Soph.  Dave and I went up Saxon for a beer.  Vicars and Tarts NYE do – interesting!
Hay and Dave came around after dropping Soph at Grants.  I said to her to record her wedding song so I could send it to Cliff Richard still not interested although she sang it for us in a very excited way!
Mainly spent day on sofa typing up Diary.  Rosie read the Daily Mail.  Will watch the Abs Fab NYE special tonight.
I said to Rosie this morning that I’m gonna spend this year doing more music which she’s taken as a New Years Res!

1974 (Mum 46/ Me 18) Tuesday
Mum – Went to see Sally and walked at Bognor and then back to Chichester for tea. She was fairly well.
Me – Cold day.  Got up at 10.30.  Finished off book The Hireling.  Went to work at Classic 2 – 7.30.  Mum, Dad & Hil popped over Tucks for drinks in evening.  They saw Sally in afternoon.  Good day
[Tucks are in-laws, Sally was friend of mum who I think she met in Psychiatric Hospital in the 60’s and at one time also lived nearby, then lived at Chichester.  I worked at Classic Cinema between 23.10.73 and 7.1.74.  It had two screens – front screen showed popular films of the day, rear screen was the Tatler Cinema which showed blue movies and had a stripper.  As projectionist I also did the spotlight for the stripper who also got changed in the projection room.]
