1974 (Mum 46/ Me 19) Thursday
Mum – Did shopping at Sainsbury’s Chandlers Ford.  Had lunch at home. Gary in at 1.45.  Did knitting.
Me – In morn went in at 7.00 with Ken, in my car.  Much less windy.  No rain for a change.  Bought black & white shirts and trs great?!!  Listened to Lou Reed’s Berlin on Mums cassette great.

1969 (Mum 41/ Me 14) Friday
Mum – none
Me – In morn had Games rained had it by Gym.  After dinner had Geog and Maths.  Mum & Dad went to New Milton in afternoon to look for shops they are thinking of buying a launderette. [What!]  Ken bought my record player back fixed. Nick went to work.  Mum bought me a Guitar book.

1965 (Mum 37/ Me 10) Sunday
Mum – none
Me – made landscape in morning in afternoon took it down.  Chris came went in woods found foxes hole.

Submarine Nautilus begins 1st nuclear-powered test voyage

Preface gives Objects, Structure of the Guild and hints from NUTG advisors on starting up Drama, Music, Social Studies and Arts and Crafts Groups
During the above years mum was looking after myself, my sister 8 years younger and brother 13

Still at Infant/Primary School.  Diary quite comprehensive giving facts on First Aid, Atomic Energy, 34 question quiz, books to read (none of which I’ve ever read), Pets, Countries of the World, Duke of Edinburgh Award, Animal Facts, Finding your way by the Sun, in fact a whole mini-book in itself.

1969 (14) Dataday Diary Gives Mileage Chart, Sun & Moon settings and phases, Wine vintage chart, clothing sizes, conversion tables and car details
