1974 (Mum 46/ Me 19) Tuesday

Mum – Communion 9.30am

Me – Went in to work in Kens car again.  Brakes on car don’t work. Got van key cut in afternoon. He! He! [We had a holiday caravan in Highcliffe near Bournemouth and I thought it would be a great place to take girlfriends to - see outcome of this later]  In evening went out with Paul Fridays [nightclub] over 21 I said I was 19 went to Birds Nest crap

 [the Birds Nest was a Disco situated where Burger King is now by the Bargate but I can't actually recall it]

1969 (Mum 41/ Me 14) Wednesday

Mum – Scholls 10.0 [feet]  Betty 10.30

Me – In morn had Fractions for Maths.  Then had Phy-Chem.  After dinner had French, Latin, Maths

Played football for an hour.  In evening saw avengers and listened to England 1 Rumania 1 on radio.  Good day.  Was bright did not rain.

Mum – Betty

Me – did not feel to good did not go to school all day made new track nice day

Preface gives Objects, Structure of the Guild and hints from NUTG advisors on starting up Drama, Music, Social Studies and Arts and Crafts Groups

During the above years mum was looking after myself, my sister 8 years younger and brother 13

Still at Infant/Primary School.  Diary quite comprehensive giving facts on First Aid, Atomic Energy, 34 question quiz, books to read (none of which I’ve ever read), Pets, Countries of the World, Duke of Edinburgh Award, Animal Facts, Finding your way by the Sun, in fact a whole mini-book in itself.

1969 (14) Dataday Diary Gives Mileage Chart, Sun & Moon settings and phases, Wine vintage chart, clothing sizes, conversion tables and car details
